On 12 January 2026, a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing ceremony was held at the Walton Corporate Office between National Healthcare Network (NHN) and Walton to enhance healthcare facilities for Walton employees.
Under this agreement, NHN will provide discounted healthcare services to Walton staff, including laboratory tests, imaging and radiology services, ambulance facilities, and other medical services.
The ceremony was attended by the Chairman of NHN, Mr. Syed Rezwanul Kabir, and the Chairman of Walton, Mr. S. M. Shamsul Alam. Distinguished representatives from BADAS (Diabetic Association of Bangladesh) were also present, including National Professor Dr. A. K. Azad Khan, President, and Md. Sayef Uddin, Secretary General. Dr. M. A. Samad, CEO of NHN, attended the program on behalf of NHN.
From Walton, Md. Nazrul Islam Sarkar, Additional Managing Director, and Dr. Yazdan Reja Chowdhury, Medical Adviser, were also present at the ceremony. An awareness presentation was delivered by Professor Dr. Biswajit Bhoumik highlighting diabetes prevention and management.
In addition, a diabetes screening program was organized by BADAS CGHR to identify diabetic patients among Walton staff as part of this collaborative healthcare initiative.
